P20
P20 steel is a highly versatile engineering material. It is referred to as a normal level plastic mould steel in pre-hardened condition. It can also be case-hardened or nitrided to achieve maximum surface hardness. Typical applications for this steel include Bolsters, machine cut plastic moulds, injection moulds, die holders & deep set moulds.
We keep plates of this grade in stock on a regular basis.

P20 + Ni
P20 + Ni is a plastic mould tool steel, used mainly for plastic injection die moulds. It can taken as an advanced version of P20 having around 1% of Nickle content having a positive impact on strength and hardenability. It also has better polishability thus giving better production quality of moulds. Major applications include die-casting dies for Zinc, injection moulds, and synthetic plastic moulds, especially for large plastic moulds highly stressed in the core.
We are keeping plates of this grade in stock regularly.

SS 1.2316
This grade is normally named as molybdenum-chrome steel with excellent corrosion and good polishing properties, even better than chrome steel (1.2083).It has good ductility and toughness due to improved micro-purity and structural homogeneity. Furthermore, it has good stress pressure resistance both in the center and on the surface.
Heat treatment: already pre-toughened; usually no heat treatment required Soft annealing: 0.03% max 0.03% max 1.00% max 760 to 800 °C for about 4 to 5 hours; slow controlled cooling of 10 to 20 °C per hour to about 650 °C; further cooling in air, max. 230 HB Hardening: 1030 to 1050 °C,15 to 30 minutes keeping curing temperature, quenching in water/oil obtainable hardness: 50-54 HRC Tempering: Slow heating to tempering temperature immediately after hardening.
